5G network in Germany will be developed by Huawei
Huawei, the Chinese electronics company, has had a lot of difficulty with the US in recent years. They want to ban its 5G network and ask their allies not to use it because it isn’t secure and could have backdoors. Some countries, like Germany, are hesitant to shut down the company.
A new report from a multinational tech company suggests that Germany should work with the tech giant in order to develop the 5G network developed by Huawei. However, as of yet it’s not official and there is no confirmation from the German government.
The German government has just announced that security regulators will be open to all and one of their major goals is to promote 5G.
In light of the recent ban on Huawei, German telecom providers recognise that excluding Huawei from the 5G network will have a detrimental effect on the country. They believe it will have a huge impact on present day business & cause huge economic losses.
Huawei is the world’s biggest supplier of 5G equipment and has over 50 signed contracts. They overcame European companies such as Ericsson and Nokia to become the world’s largest provider of 5G equipment.
