On this TECHDAY in history, on January 9th 2007, the first iPhone announcement took place! Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced to the public the first-generation iPhone, during Macworld 2007 in San Francisco. This was a smartphone that would revolutionize the industry, establishing this special category of mobile phones in the mass market. The first iphone would be launched on the American market in June of that year, immediately creating a huge commercial success and on the European market in November of the same year.
The MacWorld, alternatively known as iWorld, was an information technology trade show taking place in America between the 1987 and 2015. Dedicated to Apple Macintosh, all conference tracks related to the platform. Through the 2008, keynote presentations were also known among the audience as Stevenotes, because of Apple’s CEO at the times, Steve Jobs, famosity.
