Decrease of income for Huawei | Harmony OS
A big drop in revenue marked by the Huawei giant took place for the first half of this year. The drop marked mainly in the electronics sector and the sales in smartphones.
As the company’s chairman says, the priority was the survival of the business, because in order to differentiate itself, the company is attempting a shift towards its software so that it can replace Google’s Android system.
The company’s new operating system is the “HarmonyOS”, officially unveiled in August 2019. To date, it has been installed on 50 million smartphones and other devices.
Richard Yu, Executive Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group , in a speech, said among other things “We look forward to working with more partners and developers to build a fast-growing HarmonyOS ecosystem”. Maybe the strategy of Huawei will resemble Apple’s sucessful one. Maybe the manufacturer wants to create a particular ecosystem of products, unique and not compatible with all the other brand lines.
