Robotics Competition Final postponed
The competition is organized by the Non-Profit Educational Robotics and Science Organization WRO Hellas, with COSMOTE as a strategic partner and was scheduled for Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 February 2019.
Naturally, the comittee has as an absolute priority the safety of the participants in the final (students, parents and children). The organizers decided to postpone the final with the view to equal access to all competitors.
The new dates of the 2019 Panhellenic Educational Competition of Robotics are Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Galatsi Olympic Indoor Stadium, with the competition program remaining the same.
The Panhellenic Educational Competition of Robotics (PECR) is an annual event in Greece. It aims to promote and encourage the development of robotics education in Greek schools. The competition is open to students of all ages, divided into several categories based on age and experience.
The competition will feature various categories for participants to compete in, including Line Following, Sumo, and Firefighting robots. There will also be a special category for primary and secondary school students, in which they will have to design and build robots that can complete a set of tasks.
Participants in the PECoR will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge in robotics and to exchange ideas and experiences with other students, as well as with professors and researchers in the field. Additionally, the competition will serve as a platform for students to connect with industry professionals and learn about the latest developments in robotics.
Registration is free and teams can consist of up to 5 members. Top-performing teams will receive prizes in each category, all participants will receive a certificate of participation.
