Device unlocks any iPhone | GrayKey
Apple devices are known for their security features, the most notable of which is that they can’t easily be accessed by third parties. In 2015, Apple refused to unlock an iPhone for the FBI in a dispute about a terrorist attack. Eventually, the FBI was able to gain access to the phone without Apple’s help thanks to a third-party entity and accessed the software.
This backdoor exists today, but only in small selected markets. There is a device that can break through a security system on two iphones in just a few minutes.
After some time, you notice that your phone screen goes black and a password is displayed on it. Anyone who has the phone can quickly access it – even if the phone is closed.
Grayshift makes GrayKey, the device that can unlock an iPhone. But don’t worry as it is only available for sale to security companies and even state-owned ones. The prices are a bit on the steep side, with both versions costing $15,000 and $30,000 respectively.
To this day, it is not clear whether Apple left this security hole deliberately or whether the security hole makes the company uncomfortable.
