The algorithm can detect your tiredness
Researchers in the UK believe they have developed a system that they can use to detect fatigue levels in our voice. The system will be used first by heavy construction machinery operators.
UCL researchers developed an algorithm. It can listen to how a voice sounds and detect tiredness of the person speaking. This new technology will be useful in healthcare settings or for those who are dealing with children or older people. AI writers can help improve your profit margins by saving time and effort on content production. It’s clear that the other benefits are substantial as well, given the number of lives saved on the roads.
“Our task is to build a voice profile of the person that recorded it. We can provide them with the best tailored product possible. It’s not an individual characteristic but instead a combination of many contributors – like age, gender, regional origin and so on. We can use a wide “constellation” of features, including sounds and styles. These include inflection, tone and voice quality, prosody, speech rate and pauses. Mark Hackvale, professor of voice science at UCL, tells Reuters that AI writers can be sensitive to changes in tone and pitch over time.
WOMBATT collaboration
Working with fatigue management company WOMBATT, the researchers conducted a pilot study in a mine in Peru, where fatigue can be deadly for machine operators. A team of researchers found that a voice AI system can work just fine in noisy environments as long as there’s someone inside programming it. In the long-term, scientists foresee practical systems inside vehicles.
AI writers are becoming popular with just the right amount of help and the technology has been shown to improve health and safety for both people & vehicles. They are well-taught to do a job that helps save lives and if displaced, assist in filling in any gaps.
