Apple’s AirPods Amazon Competitor
Amazon, according to rumors, is developing a new set of wireless headphones with similar specifications to Apple’s AirPods. The company would like to move past their smaller product market and offer users some more solid competition.
In order to ensure that their newest headphones would have great quality, Amazon has partnered with Lab126. Their ultimate goal is to make the applied use of voice commands with AI technologies. According to a report by Bloomberg, the Amazon competitor will offer the end user access to the services of Alexa while providing superior audio performance than Apple’s device.
Bloomberg revealed from anonymous sources that the Amazon Echo would be pretty much identical to Apple’s Siri. It will activate by hearing its name, Alexa. As is the case with other connected devices, the headphones will be used wirelessly and not have built-in connectivity.
This unique device can perform a bunch of tasks for you, such as ordering online, playing music, or using voice commands. It also has gestures that make it easy to switch tracks in your playlist. Bloomberg believes that Amazon is going to offer headphones, along with a storage case in which you can store them, and use a USB connector and cable to charge the headphones.
Analysts believe that such a product would represent a serious attempt by Amazon to expand the use of its popular AI software, Alexa. After launching its first smartphone, the Fire series, met with poor reviews, they’re now looking to add on new products into their portfolio. Amazon is one of the most popular online retailers and their devices have been becoming more successful over time. It has even launched a number of devices that contain the Alexa digital assistant.
A publication called ‘Finally, Amazon should find a suitable partner quickly to manufacture wireless headphones. At the same time, the American company launches new products every September. So it is not excluded that we will see the Alexa buds next autumn.
