Security and privacy
Over the years, Android has introduced many “industry-first” security innovations (data encryption, SSL enabled by default, professional profiles, etc.), while incorporating Google Play Protect, the largest and most effective anti-malware service that any mobile platform offers.
Android Q will have almost 50 new security and privacy features on the platform, with a dedicated Privacy menu in settings. In addition to giving users more control over their account’s security, it is also easier than ever to avoid outside attacks and prevent data breaches.
The new Location section will show location-related data, and will also display notifications in order to remove access if your device has not been rebooted after having location services turned off. Your sensitive data (serial number), saved on your device, will always be safe and secure.
No need to reboot your computer! The company will perform updates in the background.
Machine learning “on-device”
Estimated show that 466 million people worldwide who are deaf or hard of hearing. Google has decided to improve access to social media and beyond through innovations that involve on-device machine learning.
One of these is Live Caption, which will automatically display subtitles to content that’s playing on your device from within any application. For shorter recordings, it is sometimes better just to use the captions that the device has by default.
At speech detected, the OS plays the corresponding subtitles, without the need to connect to Wi-Fi/4G LTE networks, freeing these processes from the company’s data centers.
Smart Reply will work in Android’s notification system, providing suggestions for a reply even before you can read the incoming message. It will then be possible for you to immediately respond and leave an impression on your recipient.
Digital Prosperity
Android Pie and Android Q are both major milestones in the history of software design. Their most impressive feature is the Focus Mode. This allows users to not be distracted by smartphone notifications and other distractions.
Family Link was released with the latest features and new improvements. It will have an impact on your younger members, along with some other features that are currently available.
Availability
Beta testers were able to download the Android Q update for their Smartphone. It includes 21 devices from 13 different manufacturers, with a new gesture-based navigation system. It also has support for the long-awaited Dark Theme.
