Annual savings of €150 million

Annual savings of €150 million

With the help of the new national project to streamline communication between offices and citizens, €150 million on savings will raise every year. Contractors of the project signed yesterday, with a total budget of €620 million over 3 years. The project will launch, as expected, soon.

The goals of this project are to create a single network for public administration, through which each building housing a public body will be provided with a broadband connection capable of servicing the needs of communication with other public services and citizens and the Internet and a set of services to strengthen the institutions of e-government. The whole project includes everything from telephony services (fixed and mobile) to high-speed Internet access and data center infrastructure, as well as security infrastructure.

Once planning began in 2008, the project looked very close for contract in 2014. The call of elections and the subsequent change of government made that technically impossible, and the project “froze”.

The first section of the report deals with the provision of telecommunication services to the Greek public administration. It divides into 8 islands. Potential providers have expressed interest in as many areas as they want. OTE Group and Vodafone Hellas expressed interest in all of the blocks except for Blocks 1, 4 and 7. Forthnet decided to take Blocks 1, 6, 8. Wind Hellas will use Blocks 1, 4 and 6.

The companies’ agreement

All four companies signed the framework agreement. Now the Information Society S.A., the island’s implementing agency, Conjunction II will make tenders available for a package of buildings on each island that the province/ocean can choose to buy. The maximum amount that each of the providers can raise, based on the bids submitted, is €408 million for OTE, €388 million for Vodafone, €257 million for Forthnet and €205.2 million for Wind.

Cosmote, Vodafone and Wind have signed a framework agreement for mobile telephony services as well. There’s a preliminary budget of €38.7 million for the standard of service, but also for “small” tenders as well!

You will need to have a few things in place before you can even think of implementing telecommunications into your business. The infrastructure consists of many parts that are required to make it work. This project has a budget of €162 million, funded by the European Union. A reliable network, data center infrastructure and quality of services are included in this package. That’s why you should also include things like security, telephony and cabling.

We have two contractors who will be conducting mini-tenders for the Space Hellas – Unisystems and Logicom So.

The budget of the project was estimated at €8,000,000 for 3 years. The project for the company needed some people to consult on it to calculate annual savings as well. After consulting with other colleagues in the company, they decided to reach out to OTE. After more consultations, Space and also Unisystems reached out as well.”
