Apple’s iPhone 15 will have USB-C | Apple complies to the new European legislation
Apple is doing away with the Lightning port on their new iPhone 15 in order to support a smaller and sleeker design. The iPhone is not presently announced yet but there are some hints about what to expect including the new USB-C.
This is one of the biggest changes Apple has made to the iPhone since it was first released, and it may also be one of the most important. Lightning port on your iPhone never fails to charge up things like headphones, while computers like the Mac that have USB-C still remain relatively unpopular.
Things seem to have changed now, and that change may be due to the pressure the company is under from the EU.
The European Union continues to move forward on new legislation that may require Apple to adopt USB-C in all of their iOS devices sold in Europe. Apple’s decision to adopt USB-C for their new phones in Europe may mean they need to release a new range of devices. Whether this will happen for sure or not is unknown.
The EU is making this move because it wants to make all chargers compatible with all phones.
The company recently introduced the USB-C dock for the MacBook and iPad. Not only does it allow for faster transfer rates from your accessories, but also from your iPhone.
We should remember that Apple with this move shows the compliance to the new European legislation. You can continue browsing on other Apple products on the official website by following the link, https://www.apple.com/ย or here.
