Orders for the Tesla Cybertruck
Within the first week of Tesla’s release of the Cybertruck, there were no issues with the new windshield technology as pre-orders were up in minutes. Elon Musk’s Twitter account is often a source of feedback for what’s going on in the head of Tesla (either directly from him or from previous staff members or staffers with knowledge of those inside the company).
According to his latest message, pre-orders in just three days since the announcement day for the Cybertruck have already exceeded 200,000, an impressive number both because we are two years before the production of the vehicle and because the price of two of the three versions is much higher than the average cost of a car, even in this category, as Deasy.gr notes.
It’s also worth mentioning Elon Musk’s previous message – the one where Tesla received 146,000 pre-orders, and his data about consumer preferences. The two most expensive models received a lot of the pre-orders until he decided to price the “poorer” model at 17%.
It’s worth noting that to pre-order the Cybertruck, a deposit of just $100 is all that’s required, with Tesla adding that consumers can get a refund if they don’t fill out the final order form for the vehicle before its production begins.
