Bosch ‘s new tools
Bosch Greece showcased new technologies that can make our lives easier.
The company believes that being connected to the modern world is just as necessary today as it has ever been. Therefore, it interconnects everything: The home, the car, and industry.
Modern day homes with increased connectivity options that make it easier to save money on cheaper energy costs, combined with more security and peace of mind. Bosch presented two new products, the “smart” Easy Control CT 200 thermostat and the B&G series security system control panels. You can use the Bosch Easy Control CT200 thermostat with an accompanying app to give independent and easy control of your room temperature. It has impressive design, boasts a black or white glass surface, touchscreen and ambient lighting. The user can set the temperature they want their home to reach using their phone or tablet and also saves time and effort. This thermostat can manage a total of 24 zones and 64 radiators. The CT200 can sense the presence of anyone in the house and when there’s nobody present, it activates the ECO mode for energy saving.
Bosch also introduced the B&G series of alarm panels. This device monitors the premises and interface with intrusion and fire alarm panels so you can better protect your property. If you receive a mobile message from your alarm system that there have been vandals at your home, you don’t have to rush to check. The screen displays the video image of the scene. The management software enables you to access up to 2,000 cameras from one server and up to 200,000 cameras from multiple servers, thus all systems are easy to control.
You can control up to 32 access control doors and 599 protection points. You can even upgrade your existing alarm to the B&G series with no impact on your existing peripherals. The Remote Security Control application lets you manage the security of your home or any installation. You can arm and disarm alarms and open garage doors with ease.
Bosch has introduced a variety of professional power tool options for online use. The GLL 3-80 C linear laser, the GTC 400 C thermal camera, the GLM 120 C laser distance meter, the GSB 18V-85 C battery-powered percussion trowel and the GLI 18V-1900 C battery-powered torch are just some of the products in the range of connected power tools that Bosch offers professionals for greater convenience and increased productivity. Thanks to a Bluetooth module, integrated in the tool and activated, the professional can pair their tool with their phone. All of this can achieve by downloading the Bosch Toolbox (App) and selecting “MyConnectedTools” function. This app allows you to easily configure the tool without direct contact and can save your settings for future tasks.
In the automotive sector, Bosch presented a new solution for technical training and workshop services based on augmented reality technology. Augmented reality applications link the virtual and the real world. This means that a real image can be enriched with information, extra images and video in order to make it more comprehensible. To do this, it is of course necessary to use a device, usually a tablet or special glasses. In the training sessions, for example, Bosch presented an interested car component. Using special glasses, the trainees can see the individual components of the car and also receive some additional information. At the same time, the trainer has the possibility to control the information displayed each time via a tablet.
In the workshop, augmented reality technology makes it much easier for the mechanic, as it allows him, through the use of a special device, to quickly see the technical condition of the vehicle without even intervening. In this way, the mechanic saves time and increases the quality of his work. The augmented reality technology will start being used in technical training courses in Germany and Denmark from November 2018. It is expected to be extended to other countries in the future, including Greece.
