With a 49-inch diagonal, the Dell UltraSharp U4919DW is the first QHD ultra wide monitor.
Ultra-wide monitors offer users a wider and shorter user interface, with vertical resolutions of 1080p. In the case of Dell’s new monitor, you’ll get more pixels and a better viewing angle. The display will be a “revolutionary ultra-wide” aspect ratio of 32 : 9 that removes the need for two 27-inch QHD displays. It offers resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels using IPS technology panels.
With the built-in KVM switch you’re able to quickly switch between different computers connected to the large display with one keyboard and mouse.
Other features include a 60Hz refresh rate, support for 99% of the sRGB color standard, 5ms response time, 350cd/m² brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. When it comes to connectors, it has USB-C, two HDMI 2.0 slots as well as a DisplayPort 1.4. It is coming out on October 26. You can get one for $1699. That is a ridiculously hefty price tag.
