With the current European Union data protection legislation in place, sites have updated their privacy management mechanisms and reviewed their personal data. This change increased the amount of complaints to supervisory authorities and led to greater awareness amongst the public about privacy issues.

It’s software tool (EDPS) contributes to awareness and good practices of processing data on websites’ personal information. This information can collect in a repeatable, reliable and fast way, with no need of a third-party cloud service that collects this data. On an intranet you can use the tool without the need of internet access.

The European Union Open Software License allows experts to adapt the tools to their needs.

The tool is used for processing personal data (as cookies, requests to third parties etc). The parameter settings are configured before the inspection, then the use of auto-collection triggers is initiated automatically. The collected data allows site inspectors, data protection officers and end users to understand more. They can understand the information transferred and stored when visiting a website.
