Facebook has been quietly adding a data saving mode to the social network’s app for a while now. They’re now making it available in the Facebook Messenger app as well.
Facebook Messenger users will be able to enable the feature in the app’s settings menu. This will stop photos and videos from being automatically downloaded when your phone is on data mode but will resume downloading them automatically when you’re connected to WiFi .On top of that, a counter of the data saved since the feature was enabled will be available.The counter of the data saved since the feature was enabled is also available
Facebook is currently testing a data saving mode in a beta version of Messenger. It should be available to all users soon through a Messenger upgrade.
