Facebook changes

Facebook changes | News Feed changes

As of January 2018, Facebook is revamping and changing the design of its News Feed. Also comments, link previews and profile pictures will change on both its desktop and mobile versions. The first change that Facebook is making to its appearance is for the News Feed. The text has now taken the dominant focus. All of the blue bar you used to see at the top is gone. The use of icons and reactions, in addition to the enlarged buttons below posts, gives us a sense of familiarity from the Facebook Messenger app.

News Feed, profile and comment previews have received changes that make them easier to read. Comments are also grouped on the same post for more streamlined reading.

According to the company, changes were also made on the camera, trying to improve it. Now, users can create GIFs as well as “Boomerang” style videos which people can share in their Stories or Feed.

Facebook needs to make some major changes, now that the platform is being used all over the world. For people to be able to use it in a way they’re used to, changes need to be made right away.
