
Facebook’s revenue growth slows
Whether Facebook’s growth rate is slowing down or not remains to be seen. Its monthly active users have increased by 8% in the last quarter of 2019. This statistic shows that they may still be growing, but at a slower pace than their previous rate.
Facebook continues to expand and it’s not just Facebook. More people than ever are accessing its related services. That number is now up to 3 billion monthly users across all of its owned apps and websites, if you’re curious.
Though Facebook’s revenue growth slows, its spending on ads is still up. Moreover, the company reported ‘Facebook’s ad sales grew 25% in the fourth quarter’. This shows that their advertising revenues are still seen as a positive for advertisers.
A social networking site with the potential to disappear soon promised that, as it expands internationally, its growth will continue to decline and slow down starting in 2020. According to Reuters, the days of massive growth are behind the world’s most dominant social media platform. The site has been experiencing a decline in its rate of growth, with 2019 marking only just over a 2% increase.
Facebook has recently reached a settlement to pay $550 million after being sued in Illinois for illegally storing biometric data of their users.
