Battery drainage on smartphones

Battery drainage on smartphones

It seems the latest 18.3.82 version of Google Play Services that manages Android processes, services and GPS to keep your device running smoothly is the cause of this issue. According to allegations, the battery drains quickly in the latest version.

The experts at Android Police have found that Google Play Service update has caused reduced battery life of many Android users. The problem is Google’s own app. Since this is an Android OS issue, all devices that use the software are affected.

You can verify this yourself by going to your device’s Settings and then going to the Battery category. Simply press on that and you will be able to see the list of battery usage.

If the Google Play Service is among the top 3 apps with severe battery drainage, then you are likely one of the many people who have fallen victim to this issue. Most likely you were not aware the upgrade was done. The vast majority of these updates happen in the background.

At the moment, there is no way to fix the issue. You may have to revert back to an older version of the software but we can’t guarantee that’ll fix the problem.
