Hacking is taking over supercomputers in Europe | Cryptocurrency mining malware

It’s common for ordinary users to resort to installing cryptocurrency mining software. These software selections can be tricky since they often share your system with viruses, malware, and many other threats. For supercomputers, you may get better protection when you exclude yourself from such automatic installations, while also pausing other programs that may result in the same issue.  But what’s going on all of a sudden? Usually supercomputers in Europe, like their counterparts in the US, would be impervious to any attack. Recently though, hackers got their hands on them and mined cryptocurrencies.

At this time, the Monero malware has been confirmed to be in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain. The hackers are thought to be from China.

This is not the first time cryptomining malware has been installed on supercomputers, but it’s the first time this has been done by hackers. Hacking is taking over supercomputers in Europe. One worker in a Ukrainian nuclear plant used the plant’s computer to mine cryptos. It could have been due to personal gain — just like it often is nowadays when workers use their jobs for personal gain. You need to know who you’re talking about because that was an illegal act and he was fired soon after.
