HDMI 2.1 unveiled
The faster and more reliable HDMI 2.1 standard was unveiled this month by the HDMI Forum. It’s available now to all producers of HDMI 2.0 cables that are available for purchase. HDMI cables are getting incredibly high-quality and fast, now supporting 10K for commercial or niche use and 4K at up to 120Hz. They also connect as easily as ever with Dynamic HDR support so you get a crystal clear picture.
Among other features, this monitor has an Enhanced Refresh Rate that favours gaming occasions, while the Variable Refresh Rate will reduce or even eliminate lag.Quick Frame Transport can transport you from one place to another and is known for providing excellent response latency. It’s perfect for switching between different content on your TV. The waiting time that results from switching content when the show is over and black screens is also reduced by Quick Media Switching. Finally, Auto Low Latency Mode automatically selects the optimum latency for the best viewing experience
In early 2018, we should expect the first HDMI 2.1 cables to be released.
