Increase your Instagram followers
Instagram is one of the most powerful websites in the world, alongside Facebook and Twitter. As marketing expert, Taylor Lauren, explains, Instagram users decide within seconds whether their profile is worthy of being read or not.
Here are five ways to increase your Instagram followers:
1. By using Highlights on Instagram Story you will motivate people to learn more about your life and make them want to follow you.
“The Highlights feature on your Instagram profile gives you the opportunity to reach new followers with your best content,” says Lauren, head of marketing at Later.com. He also adds that the images you use as icons must be in harmony with the type of images you typically post.
2. By adding location to your stories and posts will allow people from all over the world to find your profile.
“Sometimes when you have traveled to a particular place and include it in your stories, the image or video can be added to the story of that place”, says Lauren, Jason DeMers, founder and CEO of marketing company AudienceBloom, also stresses the importance of this move. “Use geo-tagging, especially if you’re a local business,” he says. “When you tag the location in your photos, others who post photos from your area will see your images on the location page. This is a great way to attract the attention of local users.”
3. Everyone loves selfies.
Sharing yours on Instagram is a sure way to increase your followers. “There’s no doubt that Instagram is still a very social place and people want to follow accounts they can relate to, whether it’s a brand, influencers or people who went to high school together,” says Lauren. “So it’s important to make your Instagram account as personal and readable as possible and really show what your business and brand is about if you want to gain more followers.”Images with faces usually pull in more likes than those without. A study by the Georgia Institute of Technology and Yahoo Labs shows that they receive 38% more likes than those without.
4. If you have an instagram account, then chances are you have one on other social media platforms too. If you want to reach more people, you should share your posts on other social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Make sure to mention what can be found on your profile if they visit your account. That way, people who share the same passions may follow you.
5.Instagram followers are a lot of work, and the fact is that quantity does not necessarily equal quality. To make sure you are providing amazing content for your followers to see, it might be worth your time to think about what content you’ll post. “Do an edit on your account and keep only the best photos,” DeMers advises. “No one wants to follow someone with thousands of pointless food photos or other random shots.”
