How to use Apple’s AirTag with the use of Bluetooth on any iPhone device!
The beacon-style device is similar to Tile and Samsung’s Bluetooth trackers and can help you find lost items such as keys, backpacks and more. They’re handy thanks to their integration with the Find My app.

“Find my” should be pre-installed, but to use all of the features you’ll need to make some settings.

First connect your AirTag to your iPhone using the app. Just bring it close to your phone and it’ll show up on the list of devices in Bluetooth settings.

Follow the steps on the screen to name your new item (e.g. “My Car Keys” if you have placed the AirTag on your keys) and register it with your Apple ID.
- Connecting AirTag with the app should allow you to see it under the “Items” tab and track its current location.
You can attach AirTag to any item you want to track such as your keys, your bag or an umbrella. AirTags work with the Find My app letting you find your lost objects. It sounds like a loud noise when used so you can easily find it. If you currently have an iPhone 11 or newer, be sure to take advantage of the Precision Finding feature when finding AirTag in the future. It provides a faster and easier way to get your AirTag back.
