Everything we know about iOS 14 | Apple updates
Leaks of the iOS 14 code have revealed what to expect from Apple’s next software release. What features will be available? We have a new health and fitness app codenamed “Seymour”. It will be called “Fit or Fitness” later on. This will be available on iOS 14, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14. It will be a standalone app instead of a replacement for the Activity App. You will be able to download fitness videos with various exercises and activities, which you can perform while the Apple Watch records your performance.
iMessage will receive some new features as well. One new one will be the use of “@” to tag someone in a group conversation, but also you will be able to cancel a message or mark it as unread.
Soon, there will actually be a new API called PencilKit that will let you do even more with your Apple Pencil. Now you can just tap with your Apple Pencil to enter text into apps like Messages, Mail and Calendar. It will also understand handwriting.
The function of detecting objects via AirTags will be present and those who have an iPhone or iPad can connect to their device the closer they are.
iOS 14 will have better mouse cursor support, making it similar to using it on a Mac. Up until now, that is everything we know about iOS 14. We can’t wait to gather more information.
