Apple iPhone 13 has begun manufacturing in India

Manufacturing of the iPhone 13 has begun on Indian soil, Apple announced on Monday. The company is able to reduce its reliance on Chinese manufacturing by working on this project in-house as they’ve done in the past.

Last year, the company began producing the iPhone 12 in the country and according to Reuters, Apple has plans to start iPad production soon. Apple produse iPhone 13 at a local factory of Taiwanese company Foxconn – which manufacturers Apple devices – located in the city of Sriperubudur in South Tamil Nadu state. Apple recently announced some changes to the production of its iPhones. They are hoping to shift production to other regions and are thinking about building even iPads in India. Manufacturing companies in the U.S. are moving towards countries like India, Vietnam and Mexico to reduce their dependency on China. These countries are becoming a greater not just economically, but also in their importance to manufacturers such as the U.S.

As of 2020, the Apple store in India offers customers the chance to buy their products directly from the company. This saves them a lot of hassle, and gives better options for greater ease. However, while the App Store was not yet here by end of last year, hope continued to remain alive as the company promised that it would be ready sometime later on. Now, with all of this on-board, increased efforts were being made by officials to minimise the devastation. Apple started manufacturing iPhones in India five years ago, so iPhone 13 is the fourth model produced on the country.
