A foldable tablet has been rumored to be coming out of Lenovo and it will probably sell great.
A South Korean report claims that Lenovo is planning to introduce a foldable tablet with a 13-inch display from LG. The screen size will be 13 inches when opened, but it folds down to 8 or 9 inches.
LG Display believes there are more advantages and prospects for devices like that when it comes to tablets. Tablet screens are less likely to break since they tend to be used less. Consider how many times a day we need to fold the screen on our smartphones versus tablets.
With these foldable tablets, users can carry them around while they’re on the go and use it “folded” in order to make it easier to hold.
LG Display is planing to supply Lenovo with 13″ OLED panels in the second half of next year. In the meantime, Samsung will soon be releasing their first foldable smartphone with a 7-inch display later this year.
