Facebook Meta: How it will become more profitable
Facebook is testing tools for selling digital objects and experiences on their experimental platform Horizon World. They plan to take their metaverse all the way to the market release of a closed environment. There you can have a virtual reality experience with others, basically a Next Gen VR Desktop.
Horizon Worlds has released a statement about the release of their powerful trading tools. This new plug-in can help creators develop more amazing worlds within the company’s virtual worlds. With the use of the new tools, select users will be able to sell their creations or offer paid access, Meta said.
Meta has also announced that it is experimenting with a program. This will award bonuses to creators of digital objects and services in the U.S. If the company capitalizes on their ideas. “We want there to be a lot of great worlds and for that to happen there needs to be a lot of creators who can sustain themselves and take it on as a job,” Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg told users attending a Horizon Worlds presentation as an avatar.
Facebook Inc.’s name has recently changed from Meta to reflect the vision of Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, which is a virtual reality world where users are always connected to friends through like-minded conversations, entertainment, shopping and work. Meta’s first experiment in the metaverse is Horizon Worlds, a platform that focuses on social networking. They’ve only started trying to get into events in Horizon Venues, but it seems like they’re heading in a good direction too.
