Windows 7 will not be supported
It’s important to understand that in a year from now, Microsoft will end support for Windows 7. After January 14, 2020, your PC will no longer be able to get security updates and Microsoft customer service will stop supplying tech support.
Windows 7 still holds a significant market share, with a share of 37%, while Windows 10 recently managed to gain a larger market share of 39%. It’s been three years since the arrival of Windows 10 but thousands of businesses worldwide still use Microsoft’s older operating system.
To continue to receive security updates, businesses have to pay – because Microsoft announced this last September. The grace period they are giving will last until 14 January 2023, but the cost of services will increase annually. From January 2020, consumers will have to install Windows 10 on their computer or purchase one new with it pre-installed. Windows 10 Home 64-bit will cost you 110-150 euros depending on the retailer.
Objectively, it is only normal that windows updates will be compatible only up to one point with older ones. Beyond that point, the older version are bound to lose the software support sooner than later first of all due to incompatibility of the software architecture. In this case the Windows 7 will not be supported due to the distribution of the Windows 10. Don’t you agree?
