The Office 365 suite in Dark mode
Microsoft’s latest update for Office 365 supports the Dark Mode of macOS Mojave. Many manufacturers are stepping up their game and designing dark interfaces that meet the needs of modern consumers.
Dark theme is more relaxing to use, especially when you work in low-light conditions
Microsoft wanted to be up-to-date with the current trend, so they decided to make their Office 365 suite of applications support it. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel in version 16.20.18120801, will support Dark mode.
You can change very easily the default theme for Microsoft 365 according to the look and feel prefered.
To change the background color and design of all your Microsoft 365 programs, go to File > Options > General > Office Theme.
The colorful theme aligns with the visuals of our modern Microsoft 365 apps by bringing their primary accent color to the ribbon. For example, default color of Excel id green or for Word is the color blue.
We should note that the theme you would choose will apply to all Microsoft 365 desktop applications.
Toggling Dark mode on and off is easy, even while composing a message. To disable the dark theme, you could follow the step aforementioned.
