Lenovo ThinkPad L390 and L390 Yoga

Lenovo wanted to create a new look for the ThinkPad L-Series by bringing two laptops, one being the ThinkPad L390 model and the other being an L390 Yoga. Military-grade durability standards and tough camera backup make these laptops the perfect for business users, including those working “in the field”. The L390 is the successor to the ThinkPad L380, which was very successful and cost-effective. It should land on the market in a similar price range. The ThinkPad L390 starts at $659, while the L390 Yoga starts at $889. Both can be configured with 32GB of RAM and a 512MB SSD drive. The come with 8th generation Intel Core i7, though specific SKUs have been highlighted. The Intel i7-8550U chip and at least one of the current generation Core i5 CPU will be an option.

The L390 Yoga weighs 3.44 pounds, while the L390 3.22 pounds. The laptops have a 1920 x 1080/FHD display, support for dTPM 2.0, and a fingerprint reader. The L390 Yoga is a little fancier than the other and also includes an infrared camera for unlocking with face detection. As usual, Lenovo provides a wide range of different designs, features, and durability options. These include: the 360-degree hinge option you won’t find in this market segment.

This month the two laptops will be available in black and silver.
