Nintendo is famous for providing quality digital entertainment products for years now. Lately, with the continuously increasing trend of e-shopping, the gaming industry has also been affected. So instead of measuring disk or cassette sales, in order to find out which games were the most popular, one can simply look at the number of downloads for each of the videogames in the company’s e-shop. This way, a list is created, a ranking of the fifteen most downloaded Nintendo games.
The list is the following as posted and is based on the number of downloads from the Nintendo eShop (so no physical sales). For your convenience we separated the list in two parts:
- Game Builder Garage
- Minecraft
- Mario Golf: Super Rush
- Miitopia
- Among Us
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Stardew Valley
As you have probably already surmised, on Nintendo’s eShop one can find not only this company’s videogames, but also popular titles from other sources. Other Nintendo e-shop games that were very popular:
