The Pravetz 8Dfeatures a CM630 processor at 1 MHz and memory of 48kB. It ran with the operating system of the DOS version.
The Pravetz computers was a famous Bulgarian-made computer line manufactured in the 1980s. The headquarter facilities were in Pravetz, Bulgaria, thus giving the name to the series. The Eastern Bloc supported local production and distribution of products, barring foreign imports.
In all social countries home computers manufactured didn’t present strong features and the hardware was of mediocre quality. The end products were very expensive for a common home user, thus deployed only to state institutions, schools and scientific organizations. The Pravetz computers’ production in particular continued until late 1990s and they are still in use even today.
