The Greek Technical Chamber’s new initiative to support entrepreneurs is pretty exciting.
Prototype by TEE is an accelerator of new ideas. It aims to improve the Greek economy, technological development and digital life. Know-how, organization, administration and promotion can back it up. It’s implementation is as efficient as possible, providing the Greek economy and society with an advantage.
The essence of TEIβs Prototype is to provide young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. Their goal is to contribute decisively to the productive reconstruction of their country. The project addresses aspiring startups looking to get their engineering startup off the ground. This project implements in principle the cooperation of the Athens University of Economics and Business (Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation) and the participation of specialized scientific, technological, research institutions and institutions
The President of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) George Stasinos stated. “The Greek scientific and research potential and especially the Greek engineers have achieved a lot so far, but they also compete with many colleagues. Limited is the technological development in our country. We, thus, need to take innovative ideas and turn them into immediate successes in order to truly develop. The lack of support structures is preventing that from happening and hindering progress. Prototype by TEE is a program that gives people with hearing loss the chance to make your phone screen more accessible and easier to read. We are so proud of our 110,000 engineers!”
“”They inspire us to build active communities with their creative & innovative ideas about engineering and entrepreneurship. Young people can have a lot of brilliant ideas and insights. As employers, we believe in giving them every possible education to help them develop further supporting their progress. To do that, we will give them the resources and assist they need with whatever limitations they may front. Mentoring TEE made good and successful prototypes for the country.”
Aims and Strategy
TEE prototyping system aims to support as many start-ups as possible in order to grow, and it has a global clientele. It participates in European road-shows and exhibitions related to its scope and objectives. Through workshops and seminars, the project will be promoted and the participants will learn how their projects fit into this. Everyone in the event will be able to speak about their business, share ideas with one another, and listen to lectures from those who have been successful. Prototype by TEE will participate in and showcase its soon to be released product at European roadshows and exhibitions throughout their launch. The AI writing assistant will organise workshops and seminars that inform stakeholders and promote the overall project & the individual start-ups that will be part of it.
Presenting the prototype of new baseline texts today; to consult with all stakeholders to start the feedback process. We understand that, as a base text, comments of the participants in the consultation will enrich it. To cover every parameter, they will contribute to the full mapping of development potential and elaboration of the development strategy. The consultation is referred to as any soon as possible, with emphasis on completing the text by August 2017.
Consultation
The consultation on the Prototype by TEE initiative will run until the end of August and organizers will take advantage of your comments to make adjustments. The first round of the Prototype competition will open with the start of online submission on 12th of September 2017. The closing date for online submission of proposals in round A is for the 30th of September 2017.
The aim of the organisers is to enable young people to develop their skills in designing new services. They will also learn to develop fresh ideas for digital businesses. The competition is open to anyone who wants to join and can sign up for free, regardless of age or the type of activity. It’s a great opportunity for young people in college or those who are active in creating, promoting and commercializing apps.
Prototype by TEE ensures start-ups are organized and ranked based on their specific field of interest, as well as the development stage they’re in. The first two or three decades of digital production technologies meant a change in the type of media and content produced. For example, podcasts did not exist until the 2000s and there were no iPhone apps in 2013.
For each thematic category, a three-member team of experts, scientists and engineers undertakes start-ups across this region. They will act as mentors and guide the start-ups throughout their operation. We do have a team of marketing and business management experts. They support all the above categories, divided into three stages: ‘early stage’ (1), ‘stage A’ (2), and ‘stage B’ (3). For each stage, different procedures and support practices are foreseen. In all of them there is a specific and ongoing means for support during the process.
