ESET, a cybersecurity company, has announced a global study on financial technology involving over 10,000 consumers and senior business executives from the US, UK, Japan and Australia. The team interviewed participants on their thoughts on the use of Fintech, cybersecurity and their role in protecting finance post-quarantine.

For example, Financial Technology can allow companies to become more efficient and help consumers manage their money more easily. This article looks at the security of finance, how FinTech applications are being used and how attitudes towards them are changing. A recent consumer survey found that 40% of global consumers use 1-3 FinTech apps, but less than half of them have security software installed on all their devices. In addition, 62% of them use a password manager app. In comparison, only 22% of consumers globally could be classified as “FinTech adopters” who use four or more financial technology apps. Of those, a whopping 63% protect all of their devices with security software.
People are willing to spend money on expensive tech items but they don’t always invest in the protection that they need. Which makes it all the more important that you take security precautions. Trends in emerging and current technologies vary, but most consumers (63%) are interested in these technologies and regularly use them. The survey also considers other technologies such as cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, blockchain, online-only banking services and more.
