Samsung unveils quantum-security phone

Samsung’s quantum security phone | Galaxy Quantum

Samsung introduced a 5G smartphone with the world’s first Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) on July 29th, 2018. This 2.5 x 2.5mm chip uses a LED and CMOS sensor for a variety of services such as payment platforms and two-step authentication. The CMOS sensor captures the light fluctuations, causing an image ‘noise’. Because of this difference in light, the image cannot be predicted. The LED is set up to capture rands and produce a noise that will match the matrix without creating patterns.

With no known technology that can hack the QRNG, the Galaxy A Quantum provides a higher level of protection than any other phone. This makes it stand out as one of the most secure phones in the world.

A standard mid-range Android phone that is practically a rebranded Galaxy A71 5G. It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution Super AMOLED display that is paired with a built-in fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy S9 comes with a lot of power and features. Not only does it have a processor made by Snapdragon that is standard, but this phone also has 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM! The camera resolution is even more impressive with a 64MP front camera, 12MP wide angle lens and 5MP depth sensor.
