The co-founder of one of the most famous computer companies in existence, Steve Jobs, was born on thie TECHDAY, February 24th 1955. He played a key role in the development of the Macintosh computer which propelled Apple’s success to new heights.
Overall, he presented a very active figure. Apart from being the co-founder of Apple, he has been the chairman and major sharholder of Pixar and board member of Walt Disney’s Company as well. After leaving Apple, he founded NeXT and created another successful machine before being bought out by Apple again.
Apple gained momentum in the ’90s thanks to the return of their lead CEO. The new era brought applications like the iMac, iPhone and iTunes Music Store. These moments have led to a new slate of consumer-orientated electronic devices such as the iPod and iPad. Under Jobs, Apple was once the most valuable company in the world.
