Affordable high-end smartphones | Xiaomi Pocophone F1 | Xiaomi Mi 8 | Honor Play
This is the most competitive year as many tech companies have released quality phones at low prices. Let’s explore some of the best affordable phones available on the market today.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1
At around €300, the Pocophone F1 is maybe the most impressive cheap phone on the market. The first phone from Xiaomi’s newly launched sub-brand ‘Pocophone’ is a great device, offering features you’d expect from 700 to 800 euro with a few compromises.
The biggest addition is the Snapdragon 845 processor – the same chipset found in a number of popular smartphone models from Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony, and others. With 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB or 256GB of expandable storage, and a 4,000mAh battery, this fantastic deal is perfect for anyone looking for a top-range phone.
The phone also has a pair of 12MP and 5MP rear cameras as well as a 16MP front camera.
The phone is scheduled to launch in over 60 countries and is already on sale in India.
Xiaomi Mi 8
It offers the same Snapdragon 845, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64GB to 256GB of storage options as the F1 but has upgraded in other areas.
The phone has a 6.21-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, with dual-frequency GPS for accurate navigation and NFC, 12MP as well as 12MP rear camera and 20MP selfie camera. Renowned benchmarking website DxOMark gave the phone’s camera a score of 99 – which is one point higher than the Pixel 2 and two points higher than the iPhone X and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
With a price of 380€, you get a really good smartphone with cool features.
Honor Play
The Kirin 970 chipset is just one of the many benefits of this phone. It also has 4 or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,750mAh battery. Snapdragon 854 is stronger but Kirin 970 is still more than capable of handling demanding games.
In addition to the great chipset, Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, introduced haptic feedback for games and GPU turbo technology to make your experience smoother. You’re getting a very powerful phone for only €350.
