The tender for the WiFi4GR project | Migliorating internet connection
The Ministry of Digital Governance recently launched the tender process for installing wireless networks across thousands of areas in the country. Residents and visitors will soon enjoy internet access in these areas as well.To make an effective contribution, feedback must be provided as quickly as possible. The next deadline is Friday, February 10th and would like your thoughts to help shape the response. A project which costs €14.746 million will provide WiFi hotspots in public spaces for free & unconditionally.
In September 2018, there was an open call for submission for the business programme of “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. The axis priority was the development of support mechanisms for entrepreneurship mostly. WiFi4GR aimed at the deployment of public wireless broadband internet access points in all municipalities of the European country.
Internet infrastructure for the WiFi4GR project will be set up in several thousand sites throughout the country. They will be spread out all over the country and as widely as possible. The emphasis is on places and locations:
