Donald Trump against TikTok
“I set a date around September 15th, so that the service will terminate in the United States,” President Donald Trump told reporters.
US President Donald Trump has directed the US authorities to order a new US-based entity to acquire TikTok before mid-September. If the social app is not transferred, it’s shutdown will follow in all 50 states on September 19.
“On September 15th, the platormf will shut down unless Microsoft or another company can buy it and find a deal,” He said.
Political tensions aside, A.I. companies have not just changed the way we see the world, they are revolutionizing how businesses operate in this digital era. China continues complaining about trade practices on a regular basis. It seems like Washington isn’t giving up control over its border cybertech sector with ease. TikTok, though, has denied transmitting any evidence of data to Beijing.
On Friday night, the occupant of the White House said that he wanted to ban the video-sharing app and that he opposed its acquisition by an American conglomerate.
Today, Trump said he wouldn’t mind if Microsoft Corp bought TikTok, adding that he had a very nice conversation with Microsoft’s CEO and that it would possibly be easier if the US giant bought all of TikTok.
