WhatsApp lets you “hide” from certain people
The latest version of WhatsApp for iOS has a feature that lets you hide your “Last Seen” status from people who aren’t interested in seeing it.
If you’re unsure how it works, WhatsApp shows when a user last used the app. This can be a useful way to tell if they’ve read your message or not. Previously you could disable location sharing entirely and just be able to show your status for people on your contact list. It has been revealed that WhatsApp beta version 2.2.0. 70 for iOS has a new privacy setting availible in it’s menu. This allows users to specify which people they would like to have access to this information. It’s worth noting, of course, that if you add a contact to this “black list”, the user won’t be able to see their status either.
Finally, WhatsApp is also testing other new features that can help you better manage personal information. The company, for example, is looking into adding a “About” section to your profile where you can control who sees what. Did you already know that WhatsApp lets you “hide” from certain people?
