Windows 10 will get cloud restore
One of the best things about macOS is the possibility to run it directly from a cloud installation. You only need an internet connection.
Microsoft has confirmed that a similar feature will soon be available in the newly released Windows 10. The “Cloud Restore” feature is included with the option to either reset or refresh Windows 10. This allows the user to never have to download the operating system locally or on another computer, transfer it to an optical disk and then start the installation since with this option, the operating system is “downloaded” directly to their target device in one go.
Initially the Windows Insider program will be the first to test it, but Microsoft has clarified that they currently have not enabled this feature in any of the trial versions of Windows 10. When this becomes possible in the coming weeks, users will be able to try it out. Without having to create iso’s. It’s unclear right now how each manufacturer will implement these new features, but it is expected to be a part of the next major Win 10 update, sometime between January and June 2020.
