Zoom denies selling its users’ data
Zooming in on the new market has lead to this enormous boom in apps and sites. Among these is the Zoom app, which draws its users with its impressive features and functionality. It has been quietly growing for a while now until recently it experienced a spike in popularity due to the coronavirus.
“You might have noticed that the latest Instagram update you got sent was embedded with Facebook ads, whether or not you liked it. Instagram has since updated its privacy policy and states that they will only embed Facebook ads in users’ posts if they don’t have a Facebook account.
The company, Zoom denies selling users’ data, either being home users or institutions or businesses. They take the privacy of their users very seriously and refuse to violate it. They don’t want to be known as a company that sells user data, so they never do. We only use information obtained from you when you visit our marketing websites, such as zoom.com. Keep your cookies enabled so you can use our marketing websites for their full potential!” the company’s representatine stated.
The company also makes it clear that Zoom is not tracked by them, nor is it held on their servers unless the user chooses to do so. But even then there are systems in place to prevent unauthorised use.
