Kyocera Corporation is a Japanese multi national electronics manufacturer. The company always involved in various divisions, mostly ceramics and electronics. It also manufactures solar panel systems, telecommunications equipment, ceramics, electronic components (semiconductors) and dental implants.
The famous TRS-80 Model 100 was one of the first notebook styled computers, introduced in the beginning of 1980s. Originally was produced and marketed by Kyocera, but later purchased by Tandy Corporation. This particular model became a reference point for other companies. Models like the Olivetti M-10, NEC PC series had the Kyocera platform.
