IBM Quantum Developer Certification
IBM launches the first certifications for quantum computer programmers.
The field of quantum computing, as known, has not progressed as much as it should. Nonetheless, though, there is no lack of efforts in this direction. IBM’s vision is to create a new generation of programmers who will create the tools and software needed to achieve the development of this field.
After a series of courses and then exams, developers can become certified with the IBM Quantum Developer Certification for quantum computing. Special mention is made of the IBM-owned Qiskit Software Development Kit, which has already been installed on 600,000 computers.

The certification program includes two levels: IBM Quantum Developer and IBM Quantum Developer Advanced. The first targets developers who are new to quantum computing. The Advanced certification is for developers who have more experience and want to demonstrate a higher level of skill.
To earn the certification, developers must pass the IBM Quantum Computing Fundamentals exam and the IBM Quantum Experience exam. The IBM Quantum Computing Fundamentals exam covers basic concepts of quantum computing such as qubits, quantum gates, and quantum algorithms. The IBM Quantum Experience exam tests the developer’s ability to program quantum computers using the IBM Quantum Experience.
The certification exams are online, taken at any time. The certification is valid for two years, after which developers must recertify to maintain their status as a certified developer.
