Microsoft Execs insist that Internet Explorer is not an outdated web browser anymore.
It is made by Microsoft to be used for business applications and not as a browser. It’s not a good browser in the field of cybersecurity and this is one of the main reasons why it should not be used as a system’s default browser.
Most websites are not compatible with old versions of it, but the vast majority of them work on the latest browser implementations such as Microsoft Edge and Chrome across various platforms. It had simplicity as its main goal, but it is not suitable in any case to support the complexity of the modern version of the World Wide Web.
The only use that Microsoft sees for it, is as a compatibility tool on internal networks of companies. It meets the needs of running business applications.
It is understandable and undeniable that Internet Explorer is a bit outdated. As of today, with the gradual drop of users worldwide, many websites are not compatible with Explorer and that is unofrtunate.
