Drone attacks in Britain

The British government is concerned about the recent drone attacks on airports. Saying that they are planning to install special tracking systems across the UK to help protect from this threat. Recent events at London Gatwick Airport show how important it is for Britain to take a stand and address these growing threats.

The security minister said that those who use drones “either carelessly or for criminal purposes” can expect “the harshest penalties”. Recall that two people were arrested over the incident, but were released without charge.

A large number of flights were affected by the 36-hour unrest at the airport last week. The airport has spent 5 million pounds on new equipment and technology. That was to ensure no future incidents of this type occur.

As reported by the BBC, Wallace said that “the proliferation of such devices. Combined with the challenges of deploying military countermeasures in civilian environments, means there are no easy solutions. However, I can say that we are now able to deploy detection systems across the UK to counter this threat.”

He didn’t give a time frame or detail on what these systems would be, when they could be implemented, or how quickly.

Labor Party has called for an independent inquiry over the government’s “failure to act” on drone dangers, despite constant warning about the threat of drones.

Starting next November, all drones over 250 grams will have to be registered with the civil protection agency and go through a safety online test.
