Keyspeakers’ statements
The President of the International Cybersecurity Institute, Manolis Sfakianakis, stated. “We can only be filled with optimism by the fact that one of the world’s leading cybersecurity companies sees opportunities in Greece and is dynamically strengthening its presence. Kaspersky can become the trusted partner that will help businesses, organizations, government agencies and, of course, consumers to keep up with the speed of evolution of the digital world.”
Professor and President of the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Diomidis Spinellis, said: “Technological developments in the field of cybersecurity, combined with the exponential spread of the internet and the malicious activity of criminal organizations and state entities, have created an environment that is particularly dangerous for the security of information systems. In order to protect them, research and expertise from specialised companies such as Kaspersky is a principal requirement.
The President of the Association of Information & Communications Enterprises of Greece, Giota Paparidou, said. Today we progress through a forth Industrial Revolution. All critical infrastructures run through and rely on information and communication technologies. The enhanced presence of an international leader – in the ultra-sensitive field of cyber security – in our country underlines exactly this dynamic. It is in this direction of growth and innovation that we at the SEPA believe. To position the digital technology industry as a strategic pillar for the economy and the country.”

Most businesses in Greece are on the path of digital transformation and this process widens the surface of exposure to a potential cyber attack. The large number of attendees who honored us tonight demonstrates how important a role digital security plays in this process. We further strengthen our presence and the capabilities of our distribution and reseller ecosystem in Greece and Cyprus. Expectedly, we will be in an even better position to support organisations of all sizes in their transformation journey. We could, also, enhance their resilience against digital threats.”
The event consisted of a fruitful dialogue on the issues of cybersecurity and managed to stress the need to put it at the forefront of business, organisation and consumer agendas.
