Facebook launches Marketplace
Facebook took almost a year to launch Marketplace in Europe. They wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and that people had enough time to get used to how it worked before they officially launched. Fortunately, the launch of Marketplace has been successful and is already adopted by many users. Deborah Liu, vice president of Marketplace, said “We are thrilled with the progress we have made.”

There is the hope of millions of transactions were completed through Marketplace in the U.S. last May, including 18 million successful transactions in the United States alone and a total of more than $6 billion across mobile and web platforms worldwide.
The Marketplace is one of the social platform’s most important features, with more than 550 million users registered each month. This can provide a good idea about how important it is for Facebook overall.
