Facebook’s Marketplace chain has recently included Greece as well. This feature will give users the opportunity to shop and sell within the social community they have created on Facebook. As the economy grows and we connect more adequately, new services and websites emerge every day to make our lives easier. From selling & buying, to planning a trip – we can asccompish a lot of tasks with these new tools in our disposal. The service is to be offered to members of the various communities. According to the estimates of executives who monitor the Greek market, its response is expected to be significant.
Millions of people visit buy and sell groups every month from around the world. There are people from every type of economic situation, including families in a nearby local neighborhood. Although the number of products joined in May 2017 was high, Facebook’s Marketplace is still ramping up. As it continues to grow, more people will be engaging with it and your projected growth should be positive.
How it works
According to Karandeep Anand, Head of Product – Facebook Platform, the Marketplace section contains photos of the products, their description and price. If users are looking for something specific they can search within the product section or filter their results by price.They can also view products on a variety of categories including sports, books, toys, baby products and much more. When they find something of interest, they can take a screenshot of it to see more details from the seller, including the product description and seller profile. They can also save or “Pin” what would interest them for future reference.
We’re seeing a huge shift in the way shoppers find products today thanks to machine learning advancements. Our algorithms can understand customer interests better than humans and let them shop with targeted, personalized recommendations. This module follows Facebook’s trade policy to minimize the potential for unsafe material on the site. When admins identify inappropriate items, they remove them immediately. Facebook users can report suspicious behavior to the moderators anonymously through AIM screen-name form or a mobile app. In this way, users won’t need to contact them over an insecure channel.
