New operating system for Google
Google’s latest new flagship product is an upgrade to their system called Oreo.
The new Android Oreo release- on Wednesday 23 August- debuted a refreshed mobile operating system that responds to the American Trademark “Oreo,” the well known, baked cookie. According to a new report, Google’s newest smartphones will be the first to receive the latest update of their operating system. They’re set to launch their Pixel and Nexus devices this fall.
A main new feature of this GUI is the “smart copy and paste” function – which will make copying important things, like addresses and phone numbers, from one window to another much simpler.
The new Google operating system also includes a new, redesigned set of emojis which closely resemble those on the Apple OS.
Additionally, the new “Instant Apps” feature allows some services to have people use parts of their Android app using only a link.
It’s unlikely that the next version of Google’s operating system will be available to the general public soon. As for Android devices, only 14% are using Nougat on their phones.
If we want to see the new Google operating system on existing devices, it is up to each handset maker’s decision. They also have to make a decision about its integration into upcoming devices.
