Anti-phishing feature for Gmail

A few months ago, and after a large-scale attack that affected millions of users, Google launched a new anti-phishing feature for Gmail on Android. There are more than 5 billion active inboxes on the platform.

Gmail for iOS has added an additional security feature to their app which will help you stay safe online. A new feature in Gmail arrived to help protect from phishing. It will warn you when you attempt to click on a suspicious or dangerous link will commence the next time a phased rollout begins. Familiarize yourself with this feature just in case you receive any emails from strangers.

Your computer warns you in advance that the website you’re visiting isn’t very trustworthy so you should proceed with caution.

If you choose to continue, a “warning” will “load” in your browser and it will let you know that the website you are attempting to visit has been identified as fraudulent. Google’s new tool helps you protect yourself from phishing attempts and stealing personal information or credit card data. If you end up a victim of fraud, it is your responsibility to report it as soon as possible.(to gain access to the company you work for or your bank accounts, etc.).
